$2 XRP Back 'On the Menu' as BlackRock Forecasts Wall Street Tokenization: This Morning's Top Crypto News

TL;DR

  • Bitcoin holds above $82,300 (dominance 60.24%) as US AI stocks sell off and the S&P 500 slides toward 7,659. September CPI at 3.7% and a 1.3% monthly PPI jump are raising expectations of tighter Fed policy.
  • XRP rebounds to $1.3068 on a $49.66 billion on-chain transfer surge. Bulls target $1.80–$2.00 if it breaks above $1.56.
  • BlackRock and JPMorgan keep expanding tokenization on public blockchains, while revenue-less altcoins (Blast, Abstract, Blur) shut down.
  • This week brings Meta and Tesla earnings (Wednesday), jobless claims (Thursday), and flash PMIs (Friday). The base case is Bitcoin consolidating at $82,000–$84,000, with a move above $87,000 possible if AI stocks stabilize.

Bitcoin is holding above $82,300 this morning amid a decline in US AI-sector stocks and rising dominance of 60.24%. Digital assets are trading independently of Wall Street: while the S&P 500 is sliding toward 7,659 under macroeconomic pressure, the crypto market is accumulating liquidity.

The main trigger of the macroeconomic pressure is accelerating inflation in the US. September CPI rose to 3.7% year over year, and the Producer Price Index (PPI) gained 1.3% for the month, the highest since 2022 (at 6.3% y/y), which is raising expectations of a hawkish Fed policy on Polymarket.

In the meantime, the stock market is seeing a selective capital exodus: the Dow Jones closed with a symbolic gain (+0.7%), but the AI and semiconductor sectors are being sold off aggressively as the VIX fear index jumped 21% to 20 points.

The crypto sphere is a direct beneficiary of this flow. Market capitalization is holding at $2.75 trillion with daily trading volume of $53.16 billion, with Bitcoin settling at $82,341.96 (+0.43%) and Ethereum trading around $2,419.19 (+0.13%) under pressure from the overall tech downturn.

Meanwhile, a technical flush of futures, with $336.34 million in positions liquidated over the weekend, has fully cleared out excess leverage as per CoinGlass. The morning session's focus remains exclusively on utility assets: an anomalous surge in on-chain activity in XRP, quarterly deflation of BNB, and large-scale tokenization programs from BlackRock and JPMorgan.

Rebound from the bottom and $11 billion on exchanges. Why XRP is back in the spotlight

This morning, the XRP Ledger recorded an anomalous surge in activity: daily on-chain transfer volume jumped to $49.66 billion. According to Ali Charts, citing Santiment, this liquidity passed through during the morning squeeze of the price to $1.26. Large buy orders fully absorbed the supply, instantly returning XRP quotes to the current $1.3068 (+0.68%) at a 3.00% market share. Low futures liquidations ($5.75 million) confirm that the current rebound is purely spot-driven.

Right now, a fierce standoff between two camps is unfolding in the market. On one side, exchange reserves have hit a local high of 11.81 billion XRP, threatening seller pressure.

On the other, the derivatives market is ignoring this risk: on options platforms, open call option volume exceeds put option volume by exactly a factor of two, while on the 3-day chart the right shoulder of an inverse head-and-shoulders pattern is being completed, targeting the 1.80–2.00 range with an acceleration trigger above $1.56.

Fundamentally, capitalization is being fueled by the integration of Ripple Prime into the DTCC tokenization project, with custodial assets worth $114 trillion.

According to RWA.xyz, the value of represented assets on XRPL has reached $4.47 billion, the distributed value of RWAs is $496.62 million, and the 30-day RWA transfer volume rose 1,458% to $7.03 billion. Stablecoin transfer volume stands at $6.27 billion, with a total sector capitalization of $1.06 billion.

The main intrigue of the week is the technical network upgrade (bug fix) scheduled for this Friday. It is required to launch the interbank cross-border lending protocol, for whose official start Ripple needs only 10 more validator votes out of 29.

Against this backdrop, Standard Chartered maintains its $28 target by 2030, while international capital is accumulating the token through Switzerland, with its 0% capital gains tax.

Institutions, AI bubble, and Saylor. What else is happening in the market

TradFi institutions are pushing the transfer of Wall Street infrastructure onto public blockchains for round-the-clock settlement. BlackRock (assets of $15.5 trillion) has defined tokenized funds as the core plumbing of the financial system. Its BUIDL fund holds $2.22 billion in distributed value on Ethereum, Avalanche, and Arbitrum, serving as margin collateral on crypto exchanges. JPMorgan ($5 trillion in assets), in turn, has launched the JPM Coin token on public Ethereum, where its money market funds MONY and JLTXX hold $844 million.

The transaction volume of the bank's Kinexys blockchain platform has exceeded $4 trillion, with a daily turnover of $7 billion. To protect the network from overload, Vitalik Buterin is promoting the EIP-8288 standard, which shifts heavy computation to the client side through the generation of STARK proofs.

Chronicle of the morning crisis and corporate balance sheets:

  • CoreWeave on the brink: The largest AI neocloud has $50 billion in debt, and the market estimates its default probability at 63% amid distressed bond prices.

  • VARA liquidation: On X, users are discussing a sell-off of VARA's $40 billion AI fund portfolio after losses were locked in, which triggered a six-day mass exit of hedge funds from the AI boom.

  • Anthropic rating: The agency KBRA has assigned the AI developer Anthropic a "junk" rating of BB+ ahead of its raising a $60 billion credit package from Wall Street banks.

  • Saylor's purchases: Strategy bought an additional 267 BTC ($22.1 million) at an average price of $82,900, increasing its total balance to 848,517 BTC.

  • MARA sales: The mining giant has moved 1,000 BTC to exchanges over the past 5 days to cover current costs amid its expansion into AI infrastructure.

  • BNB deflation: The BNB Smart Chain network has burned 1,646,196 BNB, permanently removing supply worth $1.197 billion from circulation.

What to expect from this week

The altcoin market is facing a structural crisis of projects without revenue, which invalidates the old logic of accumulating at the bottom. In a short time, Blast (an L2 with a peak TVL of $2.26 billion that earned only $9 in revenue per day), Pudgy Penguins' Abstract, and the Blur marketplace (its token trades at $0.015) have ceased operations.

Against the backdrop of this crisis, today's asset selection filter has narrowed to three criteria: narrative, on-chain cash flow, and buyback mechanisms. ZEC (Grayscale's ETF ZCSH), PUMP ($1.1 billion in fees and $400 million in buybacks since July), and the sector leaders HYPE, Aave, and EtherFi meet these criteria.

The coming days will determine the sustainability of Bitcoin's current upward momentum. Holding the $82,341.96 level with dominance at 60.24% confirms the buyers' positions, but the asset still faces a test of local resistance around $82,875. The general macroeconomic pessimism overshadowed Tesla's Roadster presentation: the company's shares closed in the red.

Key macroeconomic triggers of the week:

  • Wednesday: Quarterly reports from Big Tech (Meta, Tesla). They will show the real scale of the debt burden in the AI sector and set the direction for the Nasdaq index.

  • Thursday: Release of weekly US Initial Jobless Claims data, as well as publication of the updated Fed Balance Sheet report (liquidity dynamics).

  • Friday: Publication of preliminary US business activity indices for October (Manufacturing/Services/Composite PMI).

The base case is short-term Bitcoin consolidation in the safe range of 82,000–84,000, within which the flow of liquidity from empty L2 networks into deflationary top alts (XRP, BNB) will continue. If the AI sector on Wall Street stabilizes and Big Tech earnings come out in the green zone, the market is ready to move to all-time highs above $87,000.
